St. John's Orthodox Monastery - CAPTURE THE FAITH

Dedication of the Monastery of St. John of San Francisco, NY

St. John's Monastery in Cobleskill NY is involved in helping poor people in the local community and the poor and less fortunate in other parts of the world, providing food, alms, and resources. The Monastery is also in need for it's own expenses and survival, including a significant Mortgage. "Whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward”. Matthew 10:42

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. Luke 6:38
